Pretty fabric from Twiggy for Moda. I love the name and my favorite pattern is the first one, top-left. Great combination of masculine and feminine patterns.

Smartypants Saturday no.3
This has been floating around the blogosphere for a while now, but in case you haven't seen it, here's an animation showing how a bobbin works. I don't have a very mechanical mind, so I find stuff like this very helpful!

Tutorial Tuesday no.3

These are too sweet. I think these would look much better on my kitchen fridge than the ol' neon, plastic letters.

Fabric Finds Friday no.1
Welcome to Fabric Finds Friday where I'll feature some great fabric discoveries. Only one problem - however will I choose? Isn't this one of the best parts of being a crafter... choosing your materials?
I found this great fabric from an Etsy seller and ordered a yard for my boy blankies. It's from designer David Walker's Robots Collection. I love how it has that old fashioned "retro" look. The plan is to back it with a denim-blue minky fabric. Cute! Here's a link to David Walker's collection and a link to the Etsy seller I purchased from.

Stocking Up
I've started to sew for The Blushing Magpie shop. I'm cutting enough fabric for six baby blankies and binkie straps.
Next the plan is to iron them all, pin them all, then sew 'em up. My goal is to be finished with these six blankies by October 18th.
